2011 decision night!

On 18th May 2011, UCKG’s plans to convert the cinema into a church were unanimously rejected by Waltham Forest Council’s planning committee.

Although UCKG had a further planning application rejected in 2012, this page is dedicated to the 2011 decision which campaigners had waited 8 years for, following the dismissal back in 2003 of UCKG’s first planning Appeal.

So 2011 decision night was particularly exciting, and below are links to some of the drama, relief and ultimate elation of supporters hoping to “save our cinema!”
